filming and editing

I looked over Sebasthians editing and the work was solid. He made the mistake of putting “end” at the end of the video as if it is a short film. I quickly notified him of this error and also explained what titles needed to be included as the opening. Our video came together well now there’s uploading to do. We will be able to move on to our next task of reflection.

Filming and editing

The whole process has come together nicely. Sebastian finished putting the film together. We just have to wait until he uploads the video to youtube so that we can get the video. This was probably the best filming project this year. Even i cant wait to see how our film turned out

Scenes breakdown

So the group took out the phone conversation. Instead we had it in the library. Then we modified the bullying scenes. The bullying bullying scene was going to be,taking his homework, but now it’s taking his money. As a result if these changes i will update the storyboard

Filming day outcome

So the group cane together and filmed. We took out the phone conversation because we all agreed it was a useless idea. The acting on our film is so entertaining the raw version has the group filled with laughter. It was a great experience and we are surprisingly really good actors. Now the next step is to edit the film which will be one asap.

Fighting sceneĀ

In the beginning i planned out fliming a fight. However, it occured to me that since we are filming the beginning of the movie there should be a cliffhanger that makes you want to finish the movie. The way i first planned it was to put the conversations and everything leading up to the fight in place. Then have Meech (the main character) get beat up. The cliffhanger would be him laying on the floor and then picking up a flyer for boxing. But that is a sort of..weak way to leave people in suspense like obviously we’re implying that he will take lessons and learn to fight. But if we cut the scence right as the first punch is going to be thrown, there would be a natural wanting to know who wins the fight.

Frames

Our frames may be difficult to piece together. The way they are set up, The first few frames are of a cell phone conversation. So the editing may be difficult unless the actors stick to the script and have good acting skills to be able to talk to themselves. After that the filming is just normal with us all in one place acting it out. The filming process  will be very tough.

scheduling

We haven’t been able to schedule a solid couple dates for filming and editing. Mostly because we all have different schedules. One example is that i am a track athlete and have meets through the middle of the week and get home at like 9-10:30. Also i have practice everyday from 3-5 and get home at 6. However, there has been a change in the track schedule that may result in ny time being more flexible. And another positive is that most of our filming will be scenes that we individually record at home

Storyboard mixup

We finally have our storyboard up. Although there was a mix up where multiple people made a storyboard and uploaded it. However, it’s not an issue because we can just vote and pick one. Our story boards are not the best as none of us can really draw. But they still convey a good discription of the main idea for each frame.
